Jalen Green - Poor shooting display Thursday Green recorded 10 points (3-14 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal in 24 minutes during Thursday's 127-105 loss to the Pelicans.
Impact Green had a rough shooting performance Thursday, but that shouldn't surprise anyone who has been following the Rockets this season, as Green is prone to have efficiency issues. Even though he's averaging 14.4 points per game since the beginning of February, he's also shot 37 percent from the field and a mere 17.4 percent from three-point range in that span.

Amen Thompson - Scores 22 points off bench Thompson chipped in 22 points (9-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-5 FT), five rebounds, four assists and three blocks across 28 minutes during Thursday's 127-105 loss to the Pelicans.
Impact Thompson moved to the bench after starting in each of Houston's last five games before the All-Star break, but the move to the second unit didn't translate into a decline in production. Thompson has scored in double digits in five of his seven February appearances, a span in which he's averaging 13.6 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.

Alperen Sengun - Sniffs double-double in defeat Sengun ended Thursday's 127-105 loss to the Pelicans with 20 points (6-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 7-10 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and one steal in 27 minutes.
Impact Sengun finished one rebound shy of posting a double-double, and even though he didn't fill the stat sheet as he's done in other games, he still posted an impressive outing. Sengun is averaging 17.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 0.7 blocks per game since the start of January.

Impact After practicing Wednesday without issue, Whitmore was cleared to return from a three-game absence coming out of the All-Star break. The rookie hit double figures in the scoring column for the ninth time in 10 games, but he may not be able to count on reaching 24 minutes on a regular basis in competitive contests. Whitmore should at least have a firm hold on a rotation spot for the foreseeable future while Tari Eason (lower leg) faces a murky timeline for a return.

Impact Making his return from a five-game absence due to a left adductor strain, VanVleet wasn't on a specific playing-time restriction but ended up seeing six fewer minutes than his season-long average due in large part to the blowout. He wasn't especially productive during his time on the court, but he still finished as Houston's leading assist man and should see his numbers improve as the adductor injury fades further in the rear-view mirror. According to Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle, VanVleet already said prior to Thursday's game that he plans on playing in both ends of the back-to-back set, so he should be back on the court Friday versus the Suns.
