Quiet in blowout loss
Fox finished with 13 points (5-10 FG, 0-1 3PT, 3-5 FT) and three assists in Sunday's loss to Orlando.
Impact
Coming off of a huge scoring game in the Kings' opener, Fox failed to carry over the momentum on a night when most of the Kings' regulars struggled from the field. With the game out of hand early in the second half, Fox was limited to just 25 minutes. He also added two rebounds, while committing four turnovers.

Erupts for career-best 39
Fox scored a game-high 39 points (17-33 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 4-5 FT) while adding six assists, three rebounds, a steal and a block in 38 minutes during Friday's 129-120 loss to the Spurs.
Impact
On a night without much defense being played at either end of the court, Fox was nearly able to score at will and set a new career high for points -- topping the 34 he dropped on the Clippers in late January. The loss deals a big blow to the Kings' chances of clawing their way into the Western Conference playoff picture, but the third-year point guard should remain productive right to the end.

Logs 19 minutes in return
Fox (ankle) had seven points (2-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six assists and two rebounds in 19 minutes during Saturday's 131-123 loss to the Bucks.
Impact
Fox had been dealing with an ankle injury but has apparently recovered ahead of schedule. He has stated his intention to play in the team's first official game on July 31 versus the Spurs. The Kings have ground to make up in the playoff race, and Fox is the engine that makes the offense go. As such, he can likely be expected to shoulder a sizable load as per usual.

Fox (ankle) will not participate in Wednesday's scrimmage against the Heat, Mark Medina of USA Today reports.

Recovering well from ankle sprain
Fox (ankle) was able to go through parts of practice Tuesday, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports. "He did more [Tuesday] than he's done any day prior," Kings coach Luke W...
Impact
While the point guard has yet to be fully cleared, Fox's left ankle continues to improve since he initially sprained it on July 15. He was able to go through conditioning and non-contact drills Tuesday, so Fox appears well on his way to returning to full strength before the Kings play their first seeding game July 31 against the Spurs.

Picks up ankle sprain
Fox suffered a left ankle sprain at practice Wednesday and will be reevaluated in 7-to-10 days, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
Impact
The Kings have just over two weeks until the July 31 matchup with the Spurs, so the 22-year-old will be sidelined for a good chunk of the remaining prep time for the NBA restart. The severity of the injury remains unclear, and Fox's availability will be up in the air until he's reevaluated. Cory Joseph and Yogi Ferrell could see more run at the point if Fox is forced to miss any game action.
