GAME LOG

INJURIES

Nearly notches double-double Fox accumulated 33 points (14-26 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, nine assists and two steals in 41 minutes during Wednesday's loss to Chicago.
Impact Fox showed up on the offensive end Wednesday, scoring 33 points, which marked his highest scoring total since Dec. 8. His playmaking was also a huge factor, as his nine assists were his best assist total since Nov. 15. The 24-year-old is now averaging 28.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in the five games since he returned from an ankle injury. Fox will now look to continue this level of production after the All-Star break.

Shows out in loss Fox produced 26 points (9-18 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-7 FT), two rebounds and three assists in 33 minutes during Monday's 109-85 loss to Brooklyn.
Impact Fox logged a minus-21 in the box score, but he carried Sacramento offensively and was efficient in doing so. His teammates combined to shoot just 30.1 percent from the field and an equally subpar 23.3 percent from deep. On deck Wednesday, Fox will duel with DeMar DeRozan in a battle of red-hot scorers
FEBRUARY 15, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Excellent once again Fox registered 26 points (10-21 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT), two rebounds and four assists in 38 minutes during Saturday's 123-110 victory over the Wizards.
Impact Fox missed eight straight games due to an ankle injury but has been impressive since returning to the hardwood, scoring 20-plus points in each of his three games since he came back. Even when factoring his games prior to the injury, Fox has scored 20 or more points in six of his last seven contests.

Big minutes, big line in return Fox (ankle) put up 29 points (11-22 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT) to go with seven rebounds, six assists and one steal across 35 minutes Tuesday in the Kings' 134-114 loss to the Timberwolv...
Impact Despite the game being a blowout along with the fact that he had missed the previous eight contests with a left ankle injury, Fox seemingly faced no restrictions with his playing time in his return to action. After backcourt mates Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield were dealt to Indiana earlier Tuesday, Fox took on a 34.3 usage rate, which was well above his season-long mark (28.8 percent). Fox will lose out on some shot attempts and playmaking opportunities when newly acquired big man Domantas Sabonis debuts for Kings -- perhaps as early as Wednesday's rematch with Minnesota -- but the point guard could be in store for a big finish to the 2021-22 campaign after a disappointing start. Fox's name has been in trade rumors throughout the offseason, and while there's still a possibility that he could be moved ahead of Thursday's deadline if a team is willing to meet the Kings' asking price, the prior move of Haliburton to Indiana seemingly lowers the likelihood of Fox being dealt.

Minnesota faces Sacramento on 5-game win streak

Minnesota will try to continue its five-game win streak with a victory against Sacramento
FEBRUARY 9, 2022 • Associated Press
Starting Tuesday Fox (ankle) will start Tuesday against the Timberwolves, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.
Impact After eight consecutive absences, Fox rejoins the starting five, now devoid of Tyrese Haliburton, who was traded to the Pacers for Domantas Sabonis on Tuesday. There's a good chance Fox will have his minutes monitored.
FEBRUARY 9, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Likely to play Tuesday Fox (ankle) will likely play in Tuesday's game against Minnesota, Sean Cunningham of ABC 10 Sacramento reports.
Impact Coach Alvin Gentry stated that he believes Fox will be able to play versus the Timberwolves after missing the past eight games with a lingering left ankle injury. If that's the case, Fox will presumably rejoin the starting five while Maurice Harkless will likely return to a bench role. Fox's last performance was against the Pistons on Jan. 19, posting 27 points, eight assists and six rebounds across 37 minutes.

Full participant at practice Monday Fox (ankle) was a full participant during Monday's practice, and he is expected to be a game-time decision ahead of Tuesday's contest against the Timberwolves, James Ham of ESPN 13...
Impact Fox, who has missed eight straight games due to an ankle injury, is trending in the right direction after finally returning to practice Monday. If he does return Tuesday, it's possible that the fifth-year guard will be limited during his first action since Jan. 19.

Questionable Saturday Fox (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Thunder.
Impact Fox has missed seven straight games due to an ankle injury and remains day-to-day. If he returns Saturday, he could be on a minutes limit.
FEBRUARY 5, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Out Thursday Fox (ankle) has officially been ruled out of Thursday's contest against the Warriors, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
Impact Fox will miss his seventh straight game with soreness in his left ankle. Expect Davion Mitchell and Tyrese Haliburton to see an abundance of minutes against the Warriors. Fox's next chance to return to the lineup will be Saturday against the Thunder.
FEBRUARY 4, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Questionable at Golden State Fox (ankle) is questionable for Thursday's matchup against the Warriors.
Impact Fox has missed the past six games. If he returns Thursday, he could be on a minutes limit, even if he starts. His potential return would presumably reduce the workloads of Davion Mitchell and Buddy Hield.

FEBRUARY 3, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Will be game-time decision Fox (ankle) remains a game-time decision for Wednesday's matchup with the Nets, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
Impact Fox has missed the last five games due to a sore left ankle, and interim head coach Alvin Gentry confirmed that he'll be a game-time decision ahead of Wednesday's tilt against Brooklyn. If Fox can't go, Davion Mitchell would likely see a boost in minutes alongside Tyrese Haliburton in the Kings' backcourt.
FEBRUARY 3, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
MRI comes back clean Fox remains questionable for Wednesday's contest against the Nets, but he said after shootaround that he had an MRI on his sore left ankle during his absence that revealed no struc...
Impact The MRI results obviously bring optimism, but there still isn't an official timetable for Fox's return. The star point guard has been listed as questionable for each of the past four contests, so there hasn't been much progress since he was initially a late scratch ahead of a Jan. 22 loss to the Bucks. The injury couldn't have popped up at a worse time for Fox, who had averaged 23.7 points, 5.3 assists and 4.6 rebounds over his last 10 games before being sidelined. If he's out again Wednesday, his next chance to suit up will be the second half of the Kings' back-to-back Thursday in Golden State.

FEBRUARY 2, 2022 • Associated Press
Questionable vs. Nets Fox (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Nets.
Impact Fox has missed the past five games with left ankle soreness and will presumably warm up before the game to determine his availability. If he does return, he could have a minutes limit.
FEBRUARY 2, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Still out Monday Fox (ankle) won't play Monday against the Knicks, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.
Impact Fox will be sidelined for the fifth consecutive game as he continues to manage soreness in his left ankle. Davion Mitchell and Tyrese Haliburton should continue to split point-guard duties in the meantime for Sacramento.
