Impact Lively has missed the past nine games for Dallas, but he'll be listed as questionable for the second time in a row, indicating that his return is on the horizon. If he remains sidelined, Moussa Cisse could remain heavily involved behind Daniel Gafford at the center spot, especially with Anthony Davis' (calf) status still in the air.

Impact Washington left Wednesday's game against the Suns early due to a left shoulder strain, but the forward is considered day-to-day. Anthony Davis (calf) and Dereck Lively (knee) are also questionable for Dallas. If Washington is unable to play, Naji Marshall could see a sizable workload against the Clippers. The Mavericks may also utilize smaller lineups with so many injuries in the frontcourt as well.

The Mavericks were already shorthanded in the frontcourt with both Anthony Davis (calf) and Dereck Lively (knee) on the shelf, so Thompson could be headed for a big workload in the short term until the roster gets healthier. While he's a long way from his Splash Brothers peak with Golden State, Thompson is still capable of getting hot from downtown -- Wednesday's six made threes doubled his prior season high.

Impact The rookie produced multiple steals and blocks for the second time in his first 12 NBA games, but Wednesday was the first time he paired that defense with multiple threes, and his six assists tied his season. The Mavs continue to get hit by injuries -- Anthony Davis has missed seven straight contests with a calf strain while Dereck Lively has been out nine straight with a knee strain, and P.J.
