Gets start sans Simmons Sumner will start Sunday's game against the Thunder, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports.

Impact Sumner will draw his 10th start of the season and first since Dec. 10. Across his previous nine starts, the fifth-year point guard has averaged 11.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.6 steals in 20.7 minutes per game.

Downgraded to out Simmons (back) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against the Thunder, Alec Sturm of NetsDaily.com reports.

Impact Simmons was a late addition to the injury report Sunday afternoon with a back injury, and he's quickly been downgraded to out. In his absence, Edmond Sumner will enter the starting lineup alongside Kyrie Irving, Joe Harris, Royce O'Neale and Nic Claxton, as Brooklyn continues to be without Kevin Durant (knee). Simmons' next chance to suit up will come Tuesday against the Spurs.

Impact Warren got off to a great start, knocking down his first three field goal attempts to start the game before entering the break with 13 points on 6-of-10 shooting. However, he struggled to find his groove in the second half, going 3-of-8 from the field for another seven points as Brooklyn failed to keep pace with the Celtics down the final stretch. It marked Warren's second game this season with at least 20 points, and he's now shooting 41.7 percent from three in January.

Impact Simmons attempted only one shot in the first half and two in the second half and failed to score any points in the contest for the second time this season. He did, however, get his teammates involved with 10 first-half assists and finished a game-high 13 dimes on the night to go along with nine rebounds. Simmons has yet to score in double figures in the month of January, though he is averaging 8.0 assists and 7.4 rebounds per game over that span.

Impact Irving shot the ball well in the first half with 14 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the field, including 3-of-5 from three before going just 5-of-16 over the final two quarters for another 10 points. The point guard missed all six of his three-point attempts in the second half and has shot just 29.5 percent from beyond the arc over his last four games. He has, however, recorded six or more assists in each of those contests.
