Scores eight off bench Saraf finished with eight points (3-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists in 15 minutes during Tuesday's 124-90 preseason win over Charlotte.

Impact Saraf knocked down a pair of three-pointers and committed only one turnover during his limited run. The second-year guard is competing for minutes in a crowded Brooklyn backcourt and will look to build on an efficient preseason opener.

20 HOURS AGO • ROTOWIRE

Preparing for second season Saraf (rest) is in line for a reserve role in 2026-27 after the Nets drafted Mikel Brown earlier this summer.

Impact The 2025 first-rounder bookended his rookie campaign as a starter, but a bench role appears more likely to open this season now that Brown is in the fold and Egor Demin is healthy. Nolan Traore is recovering from offseason knee surgery but is expected to be ready for the start of training camp in the fall, so Saraf is set to battle with youngsters Traore and Drake Powell as well as veterans Keon Ellis and Terance Mann for playing time in the second unit.

Resting Sunday Saraf (rest) has been ruled out for Sunday's Summer League game against the Thunder, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports.

Impact Saraf is healthy but will be sidelined for the Nets' Summer League finale for rest purposes. He'll close the summer averaging 10.0 points, 3.3 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 23.9 minutes per contest across six appearances between the California Classic and Las Vegas Summer League.

Inefficient shooting night Saturday Saraf finished with 15 points (4-14 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 5-7 FT), one rebound, five assists and one block over 32 minutes in Saturday's 83-76 Summer League loss to Atlanta.

Impact Saraf didn't have his best showing Saturday. He shot an inefficient 4-for-14 from the field while failing to make any of his attempts from behind the arc. Saraf, the 2025 No. 26 overall pick, appeared in 44 regular-season games for the Nets as a rookie, averaging 7.5 points, 2.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 0.2 blocks and 0.9 steals across 20.8 minutes. The 20-year-old has several areas of his game that need to improve, and while he could earn a larger role during the 2026-27 campaign, he will continue to face stiff competition for minutes.

Impact It's been a decent start to the offseason for Brooklyn's second-year guard. Through two games, he's averaging 12.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.5 three-pointers on 45.5 percent shooting from the field.

JULY 7 • ROTOWIRE

Good to go Monday Saraf (undisclosed) will play in Monday's California Classic Summer League game against Warriors Blue, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports.

Impact Saraf sat out Sunday's win over the Bucks, Brooklyn's second game of a back-to-back-to-back set, due to undisclosed reasons. However, he'll return for the Nets' final California Classic game. Over 27 minutes in Saturday's loss to Sacramento, the 20-year-old point guard posted 10 points, six rebounds, one assist and one block.

JULY 6 • ROTOWIRE

Won't play Sunday Saraf (rest) will be inactive for Sunday's Summer League game against the Bucks, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports.

Impact Saraf will rest on the second leg of a back-to-back set, and his next chance to play will come Monday against the Warriors. Dion Brown should be able to get into the rotation Sunday with Saraf inactive.

JULY 5 • ROTOWIRE

Logs team-high 27 minutes in loss Saraf finished with 10 points (4-10 FG, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block across 27 minutes in Saturday's 79-76 California Classic Summer League loss to Sacramento.

Impact Saraf had a slow start to his inaugural season in 2025-26. However, he had a strong finish to the campaign by averaging 14.0 points, 3.8 assists and 1.0 steals across five regular-season games in April. It's hard to imagine a scenario where Saraf's production won't improve in 2026-27, at least somewhat, though he won't have an easy path to production, especially with Egor Demin (foot) healthy and Nolan Traore looking for minutes. Additionally, the Nets added Louisville guard Mikel Brown using the No. 6 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.

JULY 5 • ROTOWIRE

Nets add another guard Saraf should have more competition for playing time at in the backcourt after the Nets selected Mikel Brown in Tuesday's draft.

Impact Saraf, a 2025 first-round pick, opened his rookie season as a starter before becoming more of a part-time player, bouncing back and forth from the G League throughout the course of the year. It wasn't until the late stages of the regular season that Brooklyn handed him more of a featured role, as the team battled a litany of injuries down the stretch and needed healthy bodies to soak up extra minutes. Saraf could carve out a role as the top backup point guard in 2026-27, but the addition of Brown complicates his path to steady minutes.

JUNE 24 • ROTOWIRE

Notches 15 points in finale Saraf amassed 15 points (6-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, four assists and two steals over 26 minutes before fouling out of Sunday's 136-101 loss to the Raptors.

Impact Saraf's rookie season officially came to an end Sunday. He spent lots of time in the G League as well, but he amassed 44 regular-season appearances at the NBA level. He didn't have much fantasy appeal until the very end of the campaign, finishing with averages of 7.5 points, 3.3 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 0.9 steals on 39.6 percent shooting in 20.8 minutes per contest.

Impact Saraf didn't have a good shooting performance Tuesday night, but the fact that he went 9-for-10 from the charity stripe salvaged his scoring output, and he complemented it with decent numbers in peripheral categories. Saraf has started just three times since the beginning of March, but he's been showing what he can do of late with an uptick in his playing time. He has scored in double digits in five of his last eight appearances, a stretch in which he's averaging 11.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game despite shooting just 40.2 percent from the floor and 18.8 percent from deep.

Iffy with back tightness Saraf (back tightness) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Wizards.

Impact Saraf was a late addition to the injury report, and the Nets may err on the side of caution. Nolan Traore and Tyson Ettienne could see more minutes if Saraf is held out.

APRIL 4 • ROTOWIRE

Struggles again in loss Saraf amassed two points (1-4 FG), two rebounds and four assists across 25 minutes during Friday's 141-107 loss to Atlanta.

Impact Saraf continues to play through some recent struggles, turning in his third straight subpar performance. During that time, he has averaged just 5.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists, barely making him a top 400 player. With continued uncertainty regarding the Brooklyn rotation, Saraf is not someone who needs to be rostered, outside of very deep leagues.
