Impact Simons injured his left wrist during the second quarter of Saturday's 126-110 loss to the Pistons. He will be held out for the second leg of the Bulls' back-to-back set, and his next chance to play is Tuesday against the Hornets. With Jaden Ivey (knee) also sidelined, Collin Sexton, Rob Dillingham and Tre Jones should all see more minutes off the bench behind the starting backcourt of Josh Giddey and Isaac Okoro.

Won't return Saturday Simons won't return to Saturday's game against the Pistons due to a left wrist injury.

Impact Simons came off the bench for the first time since joining Chicago, and he won't be able to finish the game as a result of the injury. This left wrist problem also puts his status for Sunday's game against the Magic in jeopardy. Simons finished Saturday's contest with four points (2-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and two rebounds across 13 minutes.

Impact Simons will head to the bench since the Bulls will be tweaking their first, and Guershon Yabusele will move to the first unit as a result of this change. Simons is averaging 17.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game in his first five games with Chicago since being traded from Boston before the deadline. This will be the first time he comes off the bench as a Bulls player.

Impact Simons recorded a team-high 20 points, tallying at least 20 points for the third time in five games since arriving in Chicago. While he has been able to get back to doing what he does best, his peripheral production remains largely underwhelming. Jaden Ivey was seemingly a healthy DNP-CD Thursday, a fate that could certainly befall Simons at some point in the near future. He is worth rostering in most leagues, although managers should be prepared for some unpredictable shifts in playing time.

Simons was a strictly a bench player during his short Celtics tenure, but he was moved into the starting lineup for his first game in a Bulls uniform, and the veteran wing took advantage of the opportunity by connecting on a game-high six triples. Simons' efficiency from the field was a good sign, but what his role will look like once Josh Giddey (hamstring) and Tre Jones (hamstring) return remains to be seen. Simons will also be competing against fellow newcomers Jaden Ivey and Collin Sexton (recently traded) for backcourt minutes.
