Officially out Monday Nembhard (neck) has been ruled out for Monday's preseason game against Atlanta, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports.

Impact Nembhard was considered unlikely to play Monday, so his status isn't particularly surprising. However, coach Rick Carlisle said before Monday's matchup that he hopes Nembhard will be able to practice fully Tuesday and ramp up during Friday's preseason finale against the Cavaliers.

Impact In the previous four games with Tyrese Haliburton (knee) out, Nembhard was excellent. The rookie averaged 20 points on 16 field-goal attempts over those contests, but his performance Monday was a disappointment, as he took only six shots.
