First Top 5 of season Nemechek finished a season-best fourth in the NASCAR Cup Series Great American Getaway 400 at Pocono Raceway.

Impact It's been a long season for Nemechek, who has just two Top-10 finishes and sits 26th in points, but things may be turning around, as he's finished 14th or better in three of the past five races. On Sunday, Nemechek led 42 laps, the most in any race of his Cup Series career. He would lose the lead to Denny Hamlin on a restart with 50 to go and would never regain it, but he held on for the fourth-place result. Next for the Cup Series is a street race at Naval Base Coronado. Nemechek has two career Top-10 finishes in 15 starts on road/street courses.

First Top 10 of season Nemechek finished a season-best 10th in the NASCAR Cup Series Go Bowling at The Glen.

Impact It was Nemechek's best result of the season and his first time even recording a Top-20 finish since COTA at the beginning of March. Nemechek hasn't recorded a Top 10 on an oval since Gateway last September. The Cup Series now heads to Dover for the All-Star Race, a track where Nemechek has made four Cup Series starts with a best finish of 20th.
