Third in Goodyear 400
Haley finished third in the Goodyear 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Darlington Raceway Sunday afternoon.
Impact
The Kaulig Racing youngster turned in his best performance of the season Sunday at the Track Too Tough to Tame. Haley would rally back from going down a lap early in the race and avoiding a major mid-race crash to push forward late. The driver of the No. 31 Chevrolet would get around a wounded William Byron machine to claim a season-best third-place finish. It was Haley's first Top 5 of the season and second-career Top 5.

Going to start at back Sunday
Haley will drop to the rear for the start of Sunday's Cup Series race at Auto Club Speedway for unapproved adjustments, bob reports. Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports reports.
Impact
Haley was one of a handful of drivers that had issues in practice/qualifying on Saturday. There is still a lot to learn with this new car, but coming from the back when it's hard enough to hold onto the car by yourself is less than ideal. Haley's teammate Daniel Hemric showed a lot of speed on Saturday, however.

Haley was one of the drivers to make his run early. The driver of the No. 31 Chevrolet put up a fantastic lap when the track was quite slick and lacked grip.
