Impact Bortoleto's weekend was ruined in qualifying when he was knocked out in Q2 and lined up 14th on the grid. That was in part due to bad luck, as he got caught in a yellow flag on his first run, leaving him only one chance to push his way into Q3. After failing to do so, he ran a one-stop race to try to maintain track position. That worked until late in the race, when he was pushed back out of the points by the Racing Bulls drivers.

Impact Bortoleto had one of his better qualifying sessions of the year and had his best start of the season by lining up eighth on the grid. He slipped out of the points in his first stint, but Audi got the strategy right around an early Virtual Safety Car by pitting Bortoleto and jumping him back ahead of his fellow midfield competitors. Impact It looked like another typical weekend for Bortoleto, as he wasn't particularly competitive in the sprint before qualifying 11th for the traditional grand prix.
