Recalled from minors The Dodgers are recalling McKinstry from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Impact The 26-year-old has been with the Dodgers' taxi squad but will now be active with the big-league club. McKinstry figures to get some playing time in right field while Mookie Betts (hip) is on the injured list.

Impact The 26-year-old has played a significant role at times for Los Angeles this year, but he'll head to the minors Sunday with Mookie Betts (hip) returning from the injured list. Corey Seager also returned from the shelf this week and Trea Turner (COVID-19) is poised to join the team relatively soon after being acquired from the Nationals, so McKinstry is unlikely to have more than a bench role if he does rejoin the big-league roster down the stretch.

Impact McKinstry was initially listed as the starting right fielder for Thursday's contest, but the Dodgers issued a corrected lineup with Billy McKinney starting in right field and batting seventh. It wouldn't be surprising to see the 26-year-old McKinstry available off the bench Thursday.
