Converts third save
Agnos walked one in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Friday's 3-2 win over the Yankees.
Impact
This was Agnos' third save of the season, though it was his first since May 1 versus the Giants. Over his previous five appearances, he had allowed four runs (two earned) with a 6:1 K:BB, earning one hold. Agnos is in the mix for closing duties for the Rockies, but considering the team improved to 9-42 with Friday's win, save chances are unlikely to be common. He has a 1.29 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 7:2 K:BB over 14 innings this season.

Earns another save Thursday
Agnos picked up the save in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Giants after throwing a clean ninth inning. He didn't record a strikeout.
Impact
Agnos is now up to 7.1 scoreless innings so far to begin his major-league career. That said, the rookie right-hander has logged just one punchout in his first six appearances, so he hasn't necessarily overwhelmed the opposition. The Rockies have had only 10 save opportunities this season, but Agnos has earned a save in back-to-back games and appears to have worked his way into the ninth-inning mix alongside Seth Halvorsen and Tyler Kinley in Colorado's bullpen.

Notches first big-league save
Agnos gave up a hit in a scoreless ninth inning Wednesday to record his first career save in a 2-1 win over Atlanta.
Impact
The 24-year-old rookie handled the heart of Atlanta's order on 14 pitches (eight strikes), as he staked his claim to being part of the closer picture for the Rockies. Seth Halvorsen picked up his first hold of the season with a perfect eighth inning, while Tyler Kinley hasn't pitched since Saturday after walked four batters and getting tagged for three runs (two earned) in his last two appearances. Agnos has an impressive arsenal and high-leverage experience in the minors, but so far he's had trouble putting away big-league hitters -- while he has yet to allow a run in 6.1 innings for Colorado, he has just a 1:0 K:BB.

Promoted Sunday
The Rockies selected Agnos' contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.
Impact
The right-hander was unable to secure a spot on Colorado's Opening Day roster but will get his first taste of the majors as Victor Vodnik (shoulder) heads to the injured list. Agnos posted a 1.38 ERA and 63:11 K:BB across 52.1 innings between the High-A and Double-A levels last year, and he's continued to pitch well at Triple-A early in 2025. He's recorded 46 saves during his minor-league career but will likely need to work his way into high-leverage role for the Rockies.

Competing for roster spot
Agnos has an outside shot of winning a spot in the big-league bullpen this spring, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Impact
The Rockies have no shortage of high-end relief pitching prospects, with Seth Halvorsen and Jaden Hill impressing in the big leagues late last season, but Agnos is right up there with them from a stuff standpoint. He boasts a mid-to-upper-90s four-seam fastball, a low-90s cutter, a slider and a splitter and has saved 44 games in the minors over the past two seasons. The 24-year-old righty logged a 1.95 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 33 strikeouts in 27.2 innings at Double-A Hartford last year. Halvorsen is the Rockies reliever of the moment in fantasy, but there is a path for Agnos to be the team's closer by the end of 2025.
