Reinstated, starting Thursday Daza (thumb) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Thursday, Danielle Allentuck of The Denver Gazette reports.

Impact Daza had been sidelined since mid-August, but he recently appeared in six rehab games at Triple-A Albuquerque and hit .308 with four runs, two RBI and a stolen base. He should serve mainly as depth in the outfield now that he's healthy, but he'll start in right field and bat seventh against the Phillies on Thursday.

The 27-year-old had lost out on playing time prior to his injury, and he likely won't require a lengthy rehab assignment before being cleared to rejoin the major-league club.

Impact Daza will head to the IL for the second time in the past month after he was previously deactivated for around three weeks due to COVID-19 protocols. Since rejoining the Rockies on Aug. 1, Daza had lost hold of an everyday spot in the outfield to Connor Joe and Sam Hilliard. The extent of Daza's left hand injury isn't known, but while he's sidelined, Garrett Hampson will likely fill the short side of a platoon in center field with the lefty-hitting Hilliard.
