Impact Ramirez got through his one frame on 15 pitches, serving as an important component of an impressive multi-reliever effort for the Mariners on a day when significant control issues limited starter Justin Dunn to two innings. Ramirez has been on a roll for over a month after a rocky outing against the Rockies on Aug. 7, as he's now generated scoreless appearances in six of his last seven trips to the mound.

Picks up third save Ramirez walked one in two-thirds of an inning to record his third save of the season in Monday's 8-4 win over the Rangers.

Impact After Aaron Fletcher gave up a run and left the bases loaded with one out in the top of the ninth, Ramirez was called in to protect an 8-3 lead with the potential tying run on deck and allowed an inherited run to score on a sac fly before getting Elvis Andrus to pop out to end the Texas rally. Ramirez has now gotten the save in his last three appearances, and he seems to be manager Scott Servais' top choice as closer at the moment.

Notches second save Ramirez earned the save against Texas on Saturday, pitching one inning and allowing one run on one hit while striking out one.

Impact A day after regular closer Yoshihisa Hirano allowed two runs and threw 30 pitches, Ramirez was called upon to protect a three-run lead in the final frame Saturday. The right-hander gave up a solo home run to Shin-Soo Choo but was otherwise up to the task, needing 19 pitches to close out the victory. Ramirez has been one of Seattle's most effective relievers this season, posting a 3.21 ERA and 14.1 K/9 over 14 innings.

Records first save Ramirez pitched a scoreless 10th inning, allowing one walk while striking out a pair to earn the save in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Angels.

Impact Ramirez relieved regular closer Taylor Williams to start the 10th inning and the former was able to strike out a pair before intentionally walking Mike Trout. Ramirez then got Anthony Rendon on a flyout to close out the contest. It's the first save of the year for Ramirez, who has a 2.77 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 21 strikeouts across 13 innings. He typically works earlier in games as a multi-inning relief option.

Pitches to contact in loss Ramirez allowed three earned runs on three hits and four walks over two innings in a loss to the Rockies on Friday. He struck out four.

Impact The right-hander was logging his first action since Sunday and only his fourth appearance of the season overall, and he saw his unblemished ERA take quite the hit. Ramirez had opened the campaign with five scoreless innings, proving to be a valuable multi-inning commodity for manager Scott Servais after a rough Cactus League stint this spring. With his ability to work multiple frames when necessary, Ramirez should continue to see fairly steady work during the balance of the season.

Attends re-start of workouts Ramirez was one of several players present for the re-start of workouts at the Mariners' spring facility in Peoria, Arizona on Tuesday, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Impact The 25-year-old right-hander was able to play catch and get some cardio work in under staff supervision, and he and his fellow pitchers will eventually be able to throw off a bullpen mound. Ramirez was still trying to work out some kinks when spring training was suspended, as he'd pitched to a 12.27 ERA across his four Cactus League appearances. He was still considered to be in contention for a bullpen spot, however, and the expanded rosters expected to be part of any abbreviated 2020 season likely up his chances of sticking with the Mariners.
