Three-run homer in loss Adames went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 5-4 loss against the Pirates.

Impact Adames took Colin Selby deep for a three-run shot in the top of the first to give the Brewers an early lead and later added a single, marking his first multi-hit game this month. The shortstop had just one hit in 16 September at-bats coming in, which was also a three-run homer and he's now struck out at least one time in six straight games. With that said, Adames has homered in four of his last 16 contests, batting .254 over that stretch while also driving in 16 runs.

Impact Adames took Emilio Pagan deep in his third at-bat of the game to bring the Brewers back within one run of Minnesota. The shortstop then came through as the hero in the bottom of the tenth, driving home the game-tying run before coming around to score the winning run himself on a Brice Turang single. Adames has now homered in three of his last four games and has multiple hits in three of his last five to go along with nine RBI and four runs scored. He's also driven in at least one run five straight.

Adames has now recorded at least three hits in back-to-back games, raising his batting average to .213 in the process.

Impact Adames provided the bulk of Milwaukee's offense in the contest, tagging Luke Weaver for a solo homer in the first inning and a two-run shot in the third. Impact Adames doubled in a run in the first inning before ripping a two-run shot in the fifth. It's been a tough year for the slugging shortstop but he's starting to come around lately; after an 0-for-22 slump, Adames has gone 10-for-33 (.303) with seven extra-base hits and nine RBI over his last eight games. However, his season slash line still sits at .209/.293/.395 through 338 plate appearances.

Impact Adames is set to return for the Brewers on Wednesday night against the Orioles, less than two weeks after getting struck hard by an errant foul tip while he was sitting in the dugout. Brice Turang has been sent out to Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding roster move.
