Corey Dickerson - Out of lineup versus lefty Dickerson is out of the lineup Friday against the Tigers.
Impact Joey Meneses is back from paternity leave and serving as the Nationals' designated hitter with left-hander Matthew Boyd set to toe the slab for Detroit. Stone Garrett is in left field. Dickerson will probably continue to sit versus most southpaws moving forward.

Jake Alu - Heading back to Rochester Alu was optioned to Triple-A Rochester on Friday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Impact Alu will head back to Triple-A after he was called up to replace Joey Meneses (paternity) on the active roster Wednesday. Alu went 2-for-4 in Thursday's loss to the Marlins and has now gone 3-for-13 in limited action in the majors this season. With Meneses back Friday, Alu was the odd man out and will have to wait for his next opportunity with the big-league club.

Nick Fortes - Nabs second steal Fortes went 2-for-4 with a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's win over the Nationals.
Impact It's the backstop's first multi-hit performance and first RBI since May 3. Fortes hasn't done much at the plate this season, slashing .210/.264/.247 through 87 plate appearances with one homer, two steals, six RBI and seven runs, and the playing time split behind the plate for Miami could be tipping back in favor of Jacob Stallings, who has started four of the last seven games.

Jean Segura - Swipes third bag Segura went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's win over the Nationals.
Impact Hitting leadoff for the first time this season despite a weak .276 OBP, the veteran infielder drove in Xavier Edwards with a single in the third inning before stealing his third bag of the year. Segura's reached base safely in six straight games, which might help explain his elevation to the top of the order, but he's still batting only .233 (10-for-43) in May with zero homers, one stolen base, two RBI and three runs in 13 contests.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. - Targeting early June return Chisholm (toe) believes he can beat the estimated 4-6 week timeline for his return, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Impact Specifically, the 25-year-old thinks he can be back in the Marlins' lineup for a series against the White Sox that begins June 9. "I'm trying to be back in Chicago," Chisholm said Thursday. "When we fly to Chicago, I want to be playing. I don't want to miss that road trip, too." Chisholm will wear a walking boot for three weeks, after which the target date for his return should become clearer.
