Kameron Misner - Bumped up to Double-A The Marlins promoted Misner from High-A Beloit to Double-A Pensacola on Wednesday. He'll serve as the Blue Wahoos' designated hitter and bat leadoff in his Double-A debut against M...
Impact Misner received the promotion after slashing .244/.350/.424 with 11 home runs and 23-for-25 success rate on stolen-base attempts. The 23-year-old's toolsy skill set is enticing for fantasy purposes, but he'll likely need to pare down the 29.8 percent strikeout rate he posted at High-A if he's to find consistent success at the plate against higher-level pitching.

Tanner Rainey - Remains shut down Nationals manager Dave Martinez said Wednesday that Rainey (side) has yet to resume baseball activities at Triple-A Rochester, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Impact After being optioned to Rochester on Aug. 12 to work on his mechanics due to his poor results in the big leagues, Rainey didn't appear in any games for the affiliate before being shut down last week with left side soreness. Martinez is optimistic that Rainey will move past the injury and pitch again in 2021, but since the right-hander will need some time to ramp up once he's cleared to resume activities, he may be multiple weeks away from game action.

Bryan Mitchell - Bounced from 40-man roster The Marlins designated Mitchell for assignment Wednesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Impact Mitchell's stint on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster lasted just under a week, with the 30-year-old right-hander sent out to clear room for starting pitcher Edward Cabrera, who is set to make his MLB debut Wednesday versus the Nationals. In what marked his first big-league action since 2018, Mitchell made two appearances out of the Miami bullpen, giving up two earned runs on five hits and two walks over four innings.

Edward Cabrera - Recalled ahead of start Cabrera was recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville ahead of Wednesday's start against the Nationals, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Impact Cabrera was promoted to Triple-A Jacksonville in mid-July and will make his major-league debut at loanDepot Park on Wednesday. The right-hander logged a 3.68 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 48:19 K:BB in 29.1 innings across six starts with the Triple-A club. Bryan Mitchell was designated for assignment to make room for Cabrera.
