Impact Kieboom was back in the lineup in each of the last two games after a one-game absence due to a jammed thumb last week, and he went 1-for-9 with two strikeouts across those two appearances. It's not clear whether Friday's removal from the lineup is due to an injury, but Jordy Mercer will take his place at the hot corner and bat seventh.

Kyle McGowin - Avoids surgery McGowin (elbow) will begin a rehab program after recently receiving an injection, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Impact McGowin landed on the shelf in early September with a UCL sprain in his right elbow, but he'll only require a rehab program and should be ready to go for 2022. The 29-year-old posted a 4.20 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 35:14 K:BB across 30 innings this season.
