Ejected early Sunday Soderstrom was ejected during third inning of Sunday's game against the Orioles for arguing balls and strikes, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Impact Soderstrom drove in a run with a groundout during the opening frame but was tossed in the third inning after getting rung up on a called strike three. Despite the early departure, the 23-year-old still had a productive four-game set in Toronto, going 3-for-10 with two walks, a double, two homers and five RBI.

It's been mostly an empty average so far this month -- he's added one RBI, one stolen base and three runs scored, and his double Tuesday was his first extra-base hit of the month. Overall, Soderstrom is at a .291/.353/.525 slash line with nine home runs, 25 RBI, 23 runs scored, two stolen bases and six doubles over 37 contests. He's already matched or surpassed many of his totals from 61 games in 2024, so this could end up being a breakout year for the 23-year-old.

Impact Soderstrom will get his first day off of the season while he's in the midst of a rough patch at the dish. After slugging nine home runs in the Athletics' first 19 games, Soderstrom has gone without a long ball over the ensuing 15 contests and is slashing .228/.286/.281 with three doubles, one stolen base, six RBI and five runs during that stretch.
