Diagnosed with forearm inflammation
Atlanta placed Davidson on the 10-day injured list Wednesday due to left forearm inflammation.
Impact
Davidson was removed from his start Tuesday against the Red Sox with an initial diagnosis of right forearm tightness, but the team wanted to send him in for an MRI to determine the extent of his injury. Based on Atlanta's updated injury designation, Davidson appears to have avoided a forearm strain, which would have required a longer recovery timeline than inflammation. While Davidson doesn't look to be in line for an extended absence, he'll still be idle for at least a few days while he waits for the inflammation to subside. Once Davidson is cleared to throw again, Atlanta should have a better idea on a timeline for his return from the IL.

Heading to injured list
Davidson (forearm) will undergo an MRI and be placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday, 680 The Fan Atlanta reports.
Impact
Davidson's initial test results following Tuesday's game were apparently encouraging, but it wasn't enough to prevent a trip to the injured list. The left-hander will be eligible to be activated June 26, but it's too early to know how long he'll be sidelined.

Exits with forearm tightness
Davidson was removed from Tuesday's start against the Red Sox after 2.1 innings due to left forearm tightness.
Impact
The young southpaw surrendered five runs on five hits with four strikeouts and a walk before being pulled during the third inning, when he appeared to show a drop in velocity, per Mark Bowman of MLB.com. Davidson's status for his next turn through the rotation is now in question, as the severity of the injury is unclear at this time.

Hurls six scoreless innings
Davidson tossed six scoreless innings Wednesday against the Phillies, giving up four hits and a walk while fanning four. He didn't factor into the decision.
Impact
Pederson didn't factor into the decision, but he looked impressive on the mound and hurled his second straight scoreless outing. In fact, the left-hander has allowed just three earned runs across 17.2 innings this season and has been one of the most surprising young arms in the National League despite the small sample size. Davidson could make his next start at some point next week during the series against the Red Sox at home.

Another start on tap
Manager Brian Snitker said Davidson is scheduled to make his next start for Atlanta on Wednesday in Philadelphia, Gabriel Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Impact
The 25-year-old southpaw will be making his second straight turn through the rotation and his third start of the season for Atlanta after he allowed only six baserunners while striking out five over 5.2 scoreless frames June 3 against the Nationals. If Davidson can continue to mix his fastball, slider and curveball effectively while keeping his walks in check in his subsequent outings, he could have some longevity as Atlanta's No. 5 starter with Huascar Ynoa (hand) and Mike Soroka (Achilles) unlikely to return from the 60-day injured list until well after the All-Star break.

Settles for no-decision
Davidson allowed one hit and five walks while striking out five in 5.2 scoreless innings during Thursday's win over the Nationals. He didn't factor into the decision.
Impact
Davidson made his second major-league appearance of the year Thursday, and he was much more effective than when he allowed three runs in six innings during his season debut. The southpaw had some issues with command but held the Nationals scoreless to begin the game. However, he was forced to settle for a no-decision since Atlanta didn't get on the board until the sixth inning. Davidson tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against Miami on June 12.

To start Thursday
Davidson will be recalled to start Thursday's game against the Nationals, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Impact
The Braves will turn to Davidson for a spot start in their series finale. In such an opportunity May 18, the lefty logged a quality start, striking out five and yielding three runs in six innings. Davidson has excelled as a starter in the minors and may work his way into the Braves' rotation at some point if that success continues to translate to the major-league level.
