Tosses another quality start McKenzie (4-5) earned the win Thursday against the Royals after tossing six innings of one-run ball, allowing two hits and a walk while fanning six.

Impact McKenzie had a rough stretch between July 20 and Aug. 5, where he posted a 6.86 ERA on 21 innings across three outings, but he's been excellent since then with four straight quality starts while not allowing more than one earned run in each of his last three appearances. He owns a blistering 1.33 ERA on 27 innings across that four-game span, but more importantly, he looks completely recovered from the shoulder fatigue that landed him on the injured list last month.

Impact McKenzie dealt with right shoulder fatigue for a week and a half, but he'll return to the mound as the starter in Thursday's series finale against the Royals. Across his two starts prior to his absence, he posted a 0.60 ERA, 0.27 WHIP and 19:1 K:BB in 15 innings.

Impact McKenzie earned the win in his most recent start when he allowed a run on two hits and a walk while striking out eight in seven innings against the Angels on Saturday. However, he's apparently dealing with a shoulder issue that will force him to miss at least one turn through the rotation. Logan Allen was recalled from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move, and he's an option to take McKenzie's place in the rotation.
