Opinion ' Teoscar Hernández has answered every critic with his bat. Now the Jays have to decide how much it's worth to them Most of the talk about the Blue Jays locking up core players on long-term deals centres on Vlad Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette, but Teoscar He...

Yohan Ramirez - Sent down Monday Ramirez was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.
Impact Ramirez joined the Mariners' bullpen for their weekend series against the Blue Jays and allowed two runs on two hits and no walks while striking out three in two innings during his lone appearance. He'll head back to the minors after Paul Sewald was reinstated from the paternity list.

Paul Sewald - Returns from paternity list Sewald was reinstated from the paternity list Monday.
Impact Sewald was away from the team since Thursday, but he'll rejoin the active roster and take the place of right-hander Yohan Ramirez in the bullpen. The 31-year-old has taken on a setup role since the Mariners traded for Diego Castillo at the end of July, and he's recorded two holds with a 5.40 ERA and 0.60 WHIP in 6.2 innings across six appearances since then.

Teoscar Hernández - Wraps up big series in Seattle Hernandez went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, a stolen base and an additional run Sunday in the Blue Jays' 8-3 win over the Mariners.
Impact Hernandez concluded the series in Seattle with back-to-back three-hit games, with the 28-year-old cracking home runs in both contests. He's proving that his breakout showing during the 60-game 2020 season wasn't a fluke. While having already picked up nearly twice the amount of plate appearances in 2021 as the season before, Hernandez has supplied a .881 OPS, which lags only slightly behind his 2020 mark (.919).

Randal Grichuk - Snaps homer drought Grichuk went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's win over the Mariners.
Impact Grichuk went yard for the first time since July 28, and he ended an 18-game power drought as a result. The veteran outfielder is hitting just .205 since the beginning of the month, though, so he hasn't been an appealing fantasy alternative even if he has displayed decent power numbers all year long. Grichuk has reached the 20-homer plateau for the fifth time over the last six seasons.
