George Springer - Remains out of lineup Springer isn't starting Thursday's game against the Mariners, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports.

Casey Lawrence - Lines up as primary pitcher Lawrence is expected to serve as Toronto's primary pitcher behind opener Anthony Banda against Seattle on Thursday, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.
Impact Kevin Gausman (ankle) is unable to start Thursday, so the Blue Jays will instead turn to Banda and Lawrence to cover the early innings in the series opener versus the Mariners. Lawrence surrendered six runs over 5.2 innings during his previous appearance for Toronto on July 2, when he served as long relief in a doubleheader.

Domingo Acevedo - Takes second loss Wednesday Acevedo (1-2) took the loss against the Blue Jays on Wednesday, allowing an earned run on a solo home run while also recording a strikeout over one inning.
Impact Acevedo threw 10 of his 15 pitches for strikes, but he failed to preserve a 1-1 tie when he allowed a 357-foot solo homer to Bo Bichette during his one frame. The blast turned out to be the game-winning hit and was the first run Acevedo had given up since June 15, a span of nine appearances.

Jonah Bride - Progresses to taking swings Bride (shoulder) has progressed to swinging a bat, the Associated Press reports.
Impact The rookie had already engaged in pregame sprints before Monday's game, so it's been a solid week on the recovery front. However, Bride is still likely a few days away, at minimum, from a return.
