Framber Valdez - Nearing rehab assignment Valdez (finger) could throw a bullpen in Houston this week, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact Manager Dusty Baker said Sunday that Valdez could return from the injured list in June. The left-hander threw a 20-pitch bullpen session Friday and could do so once again at Minute Maid Park before beginning a rehab assignment in the near future. Valdez recorded a 3.57 ERA and 1.12 WHIP in 70.2 innings across 11 appearances (10 starts) for Houston in 2020.

Blake Taylor - Throws off flat ground Taylor (ankle) has bene throwing off flat ground, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact Taylor had to be carted off the field in mid-April due to what was called a severely sprained right ankle. He's still not close to returning from the injured list but at least appears to be trending in the right direction.

Pedro Báez - Throwing off flat ground Baez (shoulder) is throwing off flat ground, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact Baez has been out all year with shoulder soreness and was transferred to the 60-day injured list in late April after suffering a setback. The fact that he's throwing again in some capacity represents a step in the right direction, but he's not anywhere close to making his season debut.
