Heath Fillmyer - Lands with ClevelandCleveland purchased Fillmyer's contract from the Lancaster Barnstormers of the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and assigned him to Triple-A Columbus on Friday.
ImpactThe 27-year-old right-hander has posted a 5.07 ERA over 104.2 career innings in the big leagues, all of which came with Kansas City between 2018 and 2019. Fillmyer will likely slide into the rotation for Columbus.

Cal Quantrill - Gets starting nod MondayQuantrill is slated to start for Cleveland in Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader with the White Sox, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.
ImpactDue to the doubleheader, Cleveland will temporarily shift to a six-man rotation, which paves the way for Quantrill to pick up his first start of 2021. Over his 17 appearances out of the bullpen, Quantrill has logged a 2.03 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 20:11 K:BB in 26.2 innings. After covering a season-high three innings out of the bullpen in his most recent outing May 26, Quantrill should be stretched out enough to give Cleveland four or five innings Monday. He'll likely shift back to a relief role following the start.

Jake Bauers - Sits against leftyBauers isn't starting Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader against the White Sox.
ImpactBauers will take a seat with left-hander Carlos Rodon starting in Monday's matinee. Owen Miller will start at first base and bat fifth.
MAY 31, 2021ROTOWIRE
Triston McKenzie - Called up ahead of startCleveland recalled McKenzie from Triple-A Columbus to start Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader with the White Sox.
ImpactThough he was sent back to Columbus after tossing five shutout innings against the Tigers on May 26, McKenzie was never expected to remain in the minors for long with Cleveland still in need of a fifth starter with Zach Plesac (thumb) on the injured list. Assuming he's able to avoid a disastrous showing Monday that would result in another demotion, McKenzie should line up for a two-start week. His second turn will likely come Sunday in Baltimore.

Eddie Rosario - Not starting Game 1Rosario isn't starting Game 1 of Monday's doubleheader against the White Sox.
ImpactRosario started both games in Sunday's doubleheader and went 0-for-5 with a stolen base, a walk and a strikeout. Harold Ramirez will start in left field and bat fourth in Monday's matinee.
