Reinstated, sent down Zeuch (shoulder) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A Buffalo on Friday, Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star reports.

Impact Zeuch spent the minimum amount of time on the 10-day IL due to right shoulder tendinitis, but he'll report to Triple-A to begin the minor-league season. He posted a 6.75 ERA and 1.92 WHIP in 12 innings to begin the year.

Impact Zeuch entered the game in the seventh with a scoreless tie but had a complicated outing. He was greeted with a Carlos Santana single and a two-run shot from Salvador Perez before Jorge Soler double to left field. He retired Hanser Alberto and Hunter Dozier but walked Michael Taylor and Kyle Isbel to load the bases with two outs before retiring Nicky Lopez with a groundout. Zeuch has struggled badly this season and has given up a least two runs in each of his last three outings, which translates to a 6.75 ERA across 12.1 innings in four appearances (two starts).

Impact The 25-year-old limited New York to one run through three frames but was lifted after allowing three runs during the fourth inning. The right-hander was pressed into starting duty Wednesday after Ross Stripling was scratched with forearm tightness, so Zeuch could make another turn through the rotation early next week at Boston. He's given up 11 runs (seven earned) on 13 hits with a 5:6 K:BB over 11.1 innings through three starts this season.

Impact Toronto had previously listed Ross Stripling as its probable starter for the series finale, but manager Charlie Montoyo said the right-hander was scratched after developing forearm tightness. The Blue Jays are viewing Stripling as day-to-day for now, but given that this sort of injury often results in a player moving to the injured list, Zeuch could have some staying power in Toronto's rotation. After he was hammered for seven runs (three earned) in 3.1 innings against the Angels last Friday, Zeuch looked like he might have been on the outs for a rotation spot after Robbie Ray (elbow) was activated earlier this week and with Nate Pearson (groin) closing in on a return from the IL.

Zeuch might not last long in the rotation but got the spot start since the organization is quite shorthanded when it comes to rotation depth, and with that in mind, he might be in line to make another start at some point next week.
