Davis Wendzel - Back with Frisco following rehab Wendzel was reinstated from the 7-day injured list Saturday and assigned to Double-A Frisco.
Impact Wendzel suffered a broken left hamate bone in late May and was placed on the injured list shortly after. He began a rehab assignment with Texas' rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate on July 8, and wound up going 4-for-17 with a homer, three walks and five RBI across five games. He'll now return to Frisco, where he'll resume his Double-A campaign with a .241/.391/.370 slash line.

Tyler Phillips - DFA'd by Texas The Rangers designated Phillips for assignment Saturday.
Impact The righty has been with Triple-A Round Rock since June 19 but now loses his 40-man roster spot, which Sam Huff filled in a corresponding move. Phillips has struggled in his three Triple-A starts, posting a 12.86 ERA in just seven innings while walking more batters (nine) than he's struck out (eight).
