Kohei Arihara - Cleared to start Saturday Arihara (finger) completed a bullpen session Thursday with no issues and will start Saturday versus the Mariners.

Impact The 28-year-old was pushed back from Wednesday's scheduled start after receiving an injection in his right middle finger earlier in the week, but he'll only end up having his outing pushed back a few days. Arihara has a 5.76 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 14:9 K:BB through 25 innings this season, and he's surrendered 11 runs across his past two starts.

Willie Calhoun - Delivers winner Thursday Calhoun went 2-for-4 with a walk and an RBI in Thursday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Twins.

Impact Calhoun plated Jonah Heim with the game-winning run in the top of the 10th inning. He's now hit safely in 11 of the last 12 games and posted a .949 OPS during that stretch. He's been in the lineup nearly every day, but that may change soon. The Rangers are expected to call up Khris Davis during the weekend series against the Mariners, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports. It's uncertain how manager Chris Woodward plans to integrate Davis, but it seems logical he and Calhoun could platoon at DH.

Kohei Arihara - Bullpen pushed to Thursday Arihara (finger) was scheduled to throw a bullpen session Thursday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Impact An earlier report had Arihara throwing a bullpen Wednesday, but it was pushed to Thursday. If the right-hander comes out of the session without a setback, he is expected to start Saturday. If not, then Dane Dunning will start Saturday with Kyle Gibson going Sunday.

Khris Davis - Weekend call-up expected Davis (quadriceps) went 0-for-4 as the designated hitter for Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday.

Impact Texas manager Chris Woodward said Davis' rehab stint at Triple-A is unlikely to last long and anticipates him being recalled during the weekend series against Seattle, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports. Davis could be part of a platoon at DH with the hot-hitting Willie Calhoun.
