During that stretch, he's posted a .301/.346/.397 line with four stolen bases. With just one homer in his last 109 plate appearances, the 29-year-old's slugging percentage has dropped to .445. Despite that drought, he is one long ball and one steal away from his first 20-20 season.

Impact Calhoun hit seventh and played left field in his first game since August 2. The 34-year-old singled in the ninth and was removed for a pinch runner. Before the injury, he was amid a long slump, hitting just .162/.226/.274 with four homers and 67 strikeouts in his previous 52 games. With the Rangers out of playoff contention and youngsters Bubba Thompson and Leody Taveras getting regular playing time, Calhoun may end up on the bench more frequently down the stretch than he was earlier in the year.

Joe Ryan - Strong showing in loss Ryan (9-6) took the loss Sunday against Texas, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks while striking out six in 6.1 innings.
Impact Ryan retired the side in order in each of the first three innings but ran into trouble in the fourth when Marcus Semien put a 3-1 pitch into the seats for a solo homer. He held the Rangers scoreless over the next two innings and was removed with one out and a man on third in the seventh. It was the first time he pitched at least six innings in his last eight starts. He has a 4.15 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB in 21.2 innings over four outings in August. His next start will likely be at the end of next week against San Francisco.

Kohei Arihara - Six scoreless in win Arihara (1-1) earned the victory Sunday in Minnesota, striking out three in six shutout innings while allowing four singles and hitting a batter.
Impact Arihara cruised through the first six innings, facing just two batters over the minimum. He came back out for the seventh but allowed consecutive singles and was removed. It was the first time in his 12 career big-league starts that he finished six innings. The 29-year-old should continue in the rotation, at least until Spencer Howard (shoulder) returns. His next start will likely be at the end of next week against Detroit.
