Impact Hearn made it through his first two frames without incident before serving up three runs on four singles and a walk in the top of the third. Texas bounced back with a pair of runs in the bottom of the frame, and Hearn was pulled in the fourth after giving up a two-out single. The southpaw hasn't yet pitched into the fifth inning this season, but he's at least posted a solid strikeout total with 10 Ks across 7.2 frames. He's tentatively expected to take the mound on the road against Oakland on Friday.

The Rangers cycled through a number of traditional starters and primary pitchers out of the bullpen in 2021, with Hearn proving to be one of the more reliable options. He covered 104.1 innings in total over his 42 outings (11 starts), going 6-6 while producing a 4.66 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 92:42 K:BB. While those numbers aren't outstanding, Hearn at least appears to be penciled into a rotation spot to begin the 2022 season, which is enough to make him a draftable option in AL-only leagues.
