Shelved with spine injury The Astros placed Scott on the 15-day injured list Saturday, retroactive to Sept. 18, due to a thoracic spine strain.

Impact Scott has been uncharacteristically bad during September, logging a 6.35 ERA and a 4:5 K:BB across 5.2 innings. However, the poor performance could be attributed to the spine injury. Scott won't be eligible for activation until Oct. 3, ending his regular season, but he could return for the playoffs. Seth Martinez was recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land in a corresponding move.
