Back from injured list Piscotty (wrist) was activated from the 10-day injured list Sunday.

Impact The 30-year-old has been sidelined by a sprained left wrist for the past few weeks, and he'll rejoin the A's on Sunday after appearing in one rehab game with Low-A Stockton. Piscotty has struggled offensively this season, slashing .217/.284/.357 with four homers in 141 plate appearances. Mitch Moreland (undisclosed) was placed on the injured list in a corresponding move.

Impact Piscotty participated in a full workout Wednesday, and he's expected to appear in two games with the Low-A club this weekend. The 30-year-old could return to the major-league club shortly after his pair of rehab games if he feels good afterward.

Feeling better since injection Piscotty (wrist) seems to be feeling better since receiving a cortisone injection Tuesday, according to manager Bob Melvin, the Associated Press reports.

Impact The veteran outfielder still doesn't have a firm date for a return to baseball activities, but Melvin did note it seems like Piscotty has "turned a corner in how it's feeling" over the last couple of days. Piscotty clearly appears to be headed for a longer stay than the minimum on the injured list, but he appears to have a solid chance to get some game action in before the All-Star break.
