T.J. McFarland - Nabs fourth hold McFarland secured his fourth hold in a loss to the Pirates on Sunday, firing 1.2 scoreless innings during which he allowed no hits and one walk while also recording a strikeout.
Impact McFarland lowered his ERA to a sparkling 1.71 with Sunday's effort, his 14th consecutive scoreless outing. The 32-year-old's recent form coupled with his ability to work multiple frames on occasion makes him an increasingly valuable relief asset as the season enters its stretch run.

Tyler O'Neill - Rips first career triple O'Neill went 1-for-3 with an RBI triple and a walk in a loss to the Pirates on Sunday.
Impact O'Neill went 1-for-10 with a walk and a run in his first two contests back from a three-game absence due to back stiffness, but he snapped out of his doldrums with his first career three-bagger to open the scoring Sunday. O'Neill had hit .389 (7-for-18) with a home run and five RBI in the five games before his brief sabbatical, and perhaps Sunday's showing will reignite his bat.

Tommy Edman - Caps off huge week Edman went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, two RBI and an additional run in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Pirates.
Impact After closing out the series in Pittsburgh with another excellent game, Edman was named the National League's Player of the Week on Monday. Over a six-game stretch from Aug. 23 to 29, Edman went 12-for-26 (.462 average) with two home runs, two stolen bases, 10 RBI and seven runs.

Kwang-hyun Kim - No-decision Sunday Kim didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Pirates after tossing four innings of one-run ball, giving up three hits and a walk while fanning three.
Impact Kim hasn't allowed more than two runs in any of his previous three starts but hasn't pitched deep into the game in any of those contests either, as that has been an ongoing issue with the South Korean lefty in recent weeks -- he has tossed more than five innings just twice over his last six appearances since the All-Star break. He owns a 3.55 ERA, a 1.03 WHIP and a 16:9 K:BB through 25.1 innings in that stretch.

Chris Stratton - Picks up relief win Stratton earned the win in relief Sunday against the Cardinals after tossing a scoreless inning, striking out the side.
Impact Stratton had the task of keeping the Cardinals off the score board with his team down by two runs in the top of the ninth, and he couldn't have looked more dominant since he needed just 16 pitches to strike out the side. The right-hander has tossed seven straight scoreless outings.

Wil Crowe - Another no-decision Crowe didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Cardinals after allowing three runs on five hits and three walks across five innings, striking out four.
Impact Crowe has tossed three straight no-decisions and has gone 0-2 with a 5.64 ERA over his last five starts, so he hasn't exactly been a reliable presence on the mound for Pittsburgh. He does own a 2:1 K:BB ratio through 22.1 innings in that span, but at the same time, he hasn't fanned more than five batters in any of those five aforementioned starts. He's projected to make his next start in the upcoming weekend series against the Cubs on the road.
