Impact Chacin has been sidelined for two and a half weeks due to toe sesamoiditis but has been cleared to face hitters. Given the length of his absence, it's possible that the right-hander will require a rehab assignment before he's able to return from the injured list.

Impact Kuhl has been on the injured list for less than a week, and it's encouraging that he's been cleared to face hitters so quickly. The right-hander is eligible to rejoin the Rockies as early as Aug. 19, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him return following a minimal IL stint as long as he feels good following Friday's throwing session.

Jake Woodford - Moves up from Triple-A The Cardinals recalled Woodford from Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday.
Impact St. Louis will bring Woodford aboard as a replacement in the bullpen for the struggling T.J. McFarland, who was designated for assignment in a corresponding transaction. Woodford has been a full-time starter at Memphis this season, so he'll be stretched out enough to serve as a multi-inning relief option while he's with the big club.
