Impact Despite the Mets scoring three runs in the first two innings, Lugo coughed up five runs through 1.2 innings and was tagged with another run after he left the contest. The poor outing shot his season ERA from 3.82 to 5.15 across 36.2 innings this season. Lugo also finished the season with a solid 47:10 K:BB.

Other than surrendering another long ball to Willy Adames in the second inning, Lugo was otherwise sharp with his command in the 95-pitch appearance. Impact Lugo entered the contest having posted a laudable 2.65 ERA over 17 innings since joining the starting rotation Aug. 25, but he was unable to tame the Phillies' bats Thursday. The right-hander surrendered four home runs in the brutal outing, two of which came off the bat of Bryce Harper. In only 1.2 innings of work, Lugo yielded a season-worst eight hits and saw his season ERA balloon to 4.34. He'll try to rebound at home against Tampa Bay on Tuesday.

Handed loss Saturday Lugo (2-3) allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out five across 5.1 innings Friday as he took the loss against the Blue Jays.

Impact Lugo was able to maneuver through the Blue Jays' lineup the first time around, allowing one hit through the first nine batters, but he could not replicate the same success a second time. Lugo allowed six of his seven hits from the fourth inning on as the Blue Jays chased him for a run in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth frames. Saturday was Lugo's first loss in four attempts since the Mets decided to convert him to a starter. The 30-year-old owns a 2.63 ERA and 36:7 K:BB across 27.1 innings. He'll look to get back in the win column Friday against a surging Atlanta Braves team.
