ImpactHe is progressing at the alternate training site and could return to game action in May or June. It is unclear if Beede will build up as a starter at Triple-A once he is fully healthy, or if the Giants will opt to deploy him out of the bullpen this season.

Nearing baseball activitiesLewis (knee) will begin baseball activities in 3-to-4 days, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
ImpactHe will begin by hitting in the cage and would then progress to running after a few days. It sounds like Lewis could come off the injured list in mid-to-late April. In the meantime, Taylor Trammell and Jake Fraley are playing center and left field, respectively, with Mitch Haniger handling right field for Seattle.

Grabs win in wild openerMisiewicz (1-0) fired a clean 10th inning in Thursday's season-opening win over the Giants.
ImpactThe young southpaw pitched to a 1.08 ERA, 0.48 WHIP and .115 BAA across 8.1 Cactus League frames, and he picked up right where he left off Thursday to help seal Seattle's wild comeback victory. Misiewicz proved reliable last season in middle relief with eight holds, and although he logged a high-leverage opportunity Thursday, that was largely the result of closer Rafael Montero already having pitched the ninth and blown a save opportunity.

Progressing wellWood (back) threw in a simulated game Thursday and is progressing well, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
ImpactWood had a minor procedure on his back in mid March and the Giants are currently listing his injury as a lower-back strain. He is at the alternate training site and will likely join the big-league rotation at some point in the coming weeks, assuming there is a spot open for him.

Out several weeks with knee injuryDavis has left knee tendinitis and will be out 4-to-6 weeks, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
ImpactDavis was sent to the minors in mid March after hitting .200 with 12 strikeouts in 22 spring plate appearances. He hits the ball hard and has impressive raw power, but Davis has been unable to crack through with a significant big-league role. Look for him to get another look sometime this summer if he is performing well at Triple-A once fully healthy.
