Elias Díaz - Cranks 16th homer Diaz went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, two doubles and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 7-4 loss to San Francisco.
Impact The catcher entered Wednesday's contest just 1-for-11 across six games in September prior to the three-hit outburst. Diaz has thrived with Colorado this year, swatting 16 homers with 35 RBI and 45 runs scored despite slashing just .232/.303/.461 across 314 plate appearances. Diaz's recent slump allowed Dom Nunez to earn a more even time behind the dish, but the latter hasn't been as consistent a hitter this year.

Carlos Estévez - Melts down in ninth inning Estevez (2-4) took the loss Wednesday versus San Francisco after allowing four runs on four hits and a walk with two strikeouts in two-thirds of an inning.
Impact Estevez allowed five of the seven batters he faced to reach base, and San Francisco scored on a two-run single by LaMonte Wade and a two-run double by Evan Longoria. It's a rare misstep for Estevez, who had converted three saves in five outings since taking over as the full-time closer. He now has a 4.59 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 53:18 K:BB across 51 innings while adding five saves, five blown saves and 15 holds in 53 outings. Colorado's closer situation remains somewhat fluid, but one poor outing isn't likely to cost Estevez just yet.

Jon Gray - Strikes out eight in return Gray (forearm) allowed three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out eight in five-plus innings in a no-decision versus San Francisco on Wednesday.
Impact The right-hander returned after a minimum stay on the injured list, and he was able to keep San Francisco in check for five innings before Brandon Crawford's game-tying blast in the sixth. All in all, it was a solid showing from Gray after his brief IL stint. He has a 4.18 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 133:54 K:BB through 131.1 innings this season. He'll look to improve on his 7-10 record next week in a tough road start in Atlanta.

Brandon Belt - Three hits in win Belt went 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored in Wednesday's 7-4 win over Colorado.
Impact All three of Belt's hits were singles, but he scored on a sixth-inning Brandon Crawford home run and a ninth-inning Evan Longoria double. Through his last 12 games, Belt has recorded four multi-hit efforts while going 16-for-50 (.320) in that span. He's up to a .250/.353/.537 slash line with 21 homers, 43 RBI, 48 runs scored and three stolen bases through 312 plate appearances overall.

Brandon Crawford - Reaches 20-homer mark Crawford went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and a walk in Wednesday's 7-4 win over Colorado.
Impact The 34-year-old erased a three-run deficit with his sixth-inning blast, which earned him his second 20-homer season. Crawford has stayed hot at the plate in September, going 10-for-28 (.357) with six RBI, three runs scored and three doubles in addition to Wednesday's homer. For the year, the shortstop owns a career-best .293/.364/.513 slash line with 80 RBI, 61 runs scored and 10 stolen bases across 462 plate appearances.

Tyler Rogers - Picks up win Rogers (6-1) allowed a hit in a scoreless inning to earn the win Wednesday over Colorado.
Impact The right-hander was able to keep San Francisco within a run after he pitched a scoreless eighth inning, and the offense pulled ahead in the ninth. Rogers is in the midst of an impressive run, as he's posted 11 straight scoreless innings dating back to Aug. 18, and he's yielded just six hits with 10 strikeouts in that span. The setup man has a 1.72 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 45:9 K:BB through 68 innings this season as one of San Francisco's most utilized relievers.
SEPTEMBER 9, 2021 ROTOWIRE
Jake McGee - Registers 30th save McGee pitched a perfect inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 7-4 win over Colorado.
Impact San Francisco rallied for a three-run lead in the top of the ninth inning, and McGee had no trouble making it stick as he earned his 30th save of the year. Prior to 2021, he had never recorded more than 19 saves in a season. McGee has been excellent with a 2.76 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 58:10 K:BB through 58.2 innings, although he's faltered a bit more lately by allowing eight runs (seven earned) across his last 11.1 innings.
