Anthony DeSclafani - Takes tough-luck loss DeSclafani (4-7) yielded two runs on five hits over six innings Sunday, striking out three and taking a loss against Arizona.
Impact After allowing a run in each of the first two innings, DeSclafani fired four shutout frames to end his afternoon. Assuming he doesn't take the mound again this month, he went 0-3 with a 6.65 ERA across five starts in June. DeSclafani now owns a 4.28 ERA and a 69:18 K:BB through 16 starts. His next outing is currently lined up to be a road start against the Mets.

Impact Jackson exited Saturday's game with the injury and won't be eligible to return until after the All-Star break, which runs July 10-13. It's a tough break for the right-hander, who has a 2.16 ERA in 8.1 innings since being activated from the 60-day IL in late May.

Ross Stripling - Activated from injured list Stripling (back) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list Sunday.
Impact The right-hander will return from the injured list earlier than expected while Luke Jackson (back) replaces him on the shelf. Stripling made his last rehab start Thursday in the lower minors and struck out 10 while giving up two runs over four innings. The 33-year-old could be reinserted into San Francisco's rotation during the upcoming three-game set in Toronto that begins Tuesday, as Sean Manaea has pitched just one frame in each of his past two outings.

Impact Stripling landed on the injured list May 19 with a low-back strain, though an MRI revealed no structural damage. The Giants didn't formally announce a recovery timeline then, but it seems he could be back in the big-league rotation as soon as this week. He's covered 10 innings over three rehab appearances, allowing seven runs (five earned) with 16 strikeouts and one walk. Once Stripling returns, the Giants will likely have less need for regular bullpen days.

Taylor Rogers - Collects fourth win Rogers (4-2) allowed a hit and struck out one over one scoreless inning to earn the win Saturday over the Diamondbacks.
Impact Rogers' scoreless streak is now a month long, spanning 13 innings in which he's given up five hits and four walks while striking out 22. The impressive stretch has trimmed his ERA to 2.67 with a 1.07 WHIP and 34:13 K:BB over 27 innings this season. He's added a save and three holds, and he'd likely be first in line for a save chance Sunday since Camilo Doval has pitched three times in four days and Tyler Rogers has four appearances over the Giants' last five games.

Camilo Doval - Converts 22nd save Doval allowed a run on two hits and a walk while striking out one over one inning to earn the save in Saturday's 7-6 win over the Diamondbacks.
Impact Doval was pitching for the third time in four days, which may explain some of the sloppiness. He was able to work through the danger to earn his 22nd save of the season. Doval hasn't gone on any exceptional scoreless streaks so far, often giving up a run once in every handful of appearances. He's still been a steady reliever with a 2.02 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 49:16 K:BB over 35.2 innings and just two blown saves on the year. Should a save chance surface Sunday, Taylor Rogers seems like the most likely candidate to close it out, as he threw just seven pitches over one inning to earn the win Saturday in his first appearance since Wednesday.

Keaton Winn - Mixed results Saturday Winn allowed three runs on five hits and struck out three over three-plus innings versus the Diamondbacks on Saturday. He did not factor in the decision.
Impact Winn left his bulk-relief assignment with a lead, but Sean Manaea couldn't maintain the lead in the fifth inning. This was the shortest of Winn's three appearances this season, and also the first in which he's given up multiple runs. He's pitched to a 3.75 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 9:3 K:BB over 12 innings while serving as a multi-inning reliever. The 25-year-old right-hander continues to be one of a handful of options to pitch behind openers as the Giants utilize bullpen days, though he could also end up back at Triple-A Sacramento once Ross Stripling (back) returns from the injured list.

Luis Matos - Cranks first homer Matos went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI in Saturday's win over Arizona.
Impact Matos grounded into a double play in his first at-bat before reaching on a single in his second plate appearance. However, the rookie outfielder stole the show in the bottom of the sixth, crushing a two-run home run to left field to score Brandon Crawford and put the Giants up 7-5. It was Matos' first home run of his big league career and his second two-RBI game since being called up earlier this month. He's also recorded three two-hit games while maintaining a very solid 3:6 K:BB ratio at the plate.

Ryan Walker - Strikes out two, gives up homer Walker did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and one walk over one inning against Arizona. He struck out two.
Impact Walker opened the game for San Francisco and surrendered a solo home run to Ketel Marte in the second at-bat of the contest after leaving a slider over the middle of the plate. The right-hander would strike out two in the frame, but also allowed a double to Christian Walker, followed by a walk to Lourdes Gurriel before he was eventually able to get out of the inning. Walker was replaced by Keaton Winn to open the second and the former has now allowed a solo home run in two of his last three appearances. He is, however, still holding a strong 1.96 ERA after Saturday's outing.
