Sent to alternate training site Crismatt was optioned to the Padres' alternate training site Saturday.
Impact Crismatt made San Diego's Opening Day roster this year and made two relief appearances to begin the season. He allowed two hits and three walks while striking out four in three innings. However, he'll now be sent down after the team activated Austin Adams (elbow) from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move.

Reinstated from 10-day IL Adams (elbow) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Saturday.
Impact Adams was shut down in early March due to a minor elbow issue, but he's been pitching at the alternate training site and has now been cleared to return to game action. The right-hander only made three relief appearances for the Padres in 2020 but could serve in a setup role this year if he can remain healthy. Nabil Crismatt was sent down in a corresponding move.

Could return next week Padres manager Jayce Tingler said Saturday that Tatis (shoulder) could return from the 10-day injured list as early as next week, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Impact Tatis avoided surgery after he suffered a partially dislocated shoulder Monday, and he participated in hitting, fielding and running drills Saturday. Tingler said that the team continues to take Tatis' recovery day by day, but the Padres' skipper said that the 22-year-old is in a good position for a short absence if he continues to progress smoothly. Tatis is eligible to return to action as soon as Friday. Ha-Seong Kim should continue to serve as San Diego's primary shortstop in Tatis' absence.

Collects two hits in return Grisham went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored Friday in a 3-0 victory over Texas.
Impact The big story after the contest was, of course, Joe Musgrove throwing the first no-hitter in franchise history for the Padres, but Grisham's return was an important secondary headline for a club that has been only middle-of-the-pack offensively in the early going. As expected, Grisham led off for San Diego, and he scored one of the team's three runs against the Rangers. The 24-year-old is likely to hit atop the order and play center field on a near-everyday basis moving forward.
