Carlos Santana - Three-run homer in win Santana went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's victory over the Padres.

Impact Santana launched a three-run shot off Mike Clevinger in the bottom of the fifth inning, giving the Mariners a 6-0 lead. The 36-year-old has now gone deep 15 times this year and three times in his last five games. Santana has gone 5-for-29 with three homers, six RBI and six runs scored over 10 games in September.

Eugenio Suárez - Two-run blast in win Suarez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Padres.

Impact Suarez took Mike Clevinger deep for a two-run shot in the bottom of the first inning, expanding the Mariners' lead to 3-0. The long ball was his 31st of the season and he's now launched six homers over his last six games. Since Aug. 30, Suarez has produced a .315 average with seven home runs, 12 RBI and nine runs scored over 54 at-bats in 14 contests.

Julio Rodríguez - Two hits including homer in win Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with a solo homer, a hit-by-pitch and two runs scored in Wednesday's victory over the Padres.

Impact Rodriguez took Mike Clevinger deep for a leadoff homer in the bottom of the first inning. He later added a single in the third inning before he was hit by a pitch, stole second and came around to score in the fifth frame. The homer was the rookie's 26th of the season and he became the first player to reach both 25 long balls and 25 stolen bases this season with his swipe Wednesday. Rodriguez is now batting .279 with 26 home runs, 72 RBI, 78 runs and 25 stolen bases over 487 at-bats in his first 125 career games.

Luis Castillo - Blanks Padres over six frames Castillo (7-5) earned the win after he pitched six scoreless innings, allowing four hits and a walk while hitting a batter and striking out nine against the Padres on Wednesday.

Impact Castillo was in full command Wednesday, limiting the Padres to six total baserunners while punching out at least nine batters for the third time in six starts. The right-hander has now produced six quality starts over eight outings since joining the Mariners at the trade deadline. Since joining Seattle, he has compiled a 2.37 ERA and 1.03 WHIP with 60 punchouts over 49.1 innings.

Mike Clevinger - Knocked around by Mariners Clevinger (5-7) was charged with the loss after he pitched five innings, giving up six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two versus the Mariners on Wednesday.

Impact Clevinger struggled with the long ball Wednesday, surrendering all six runs on three homers by the Mariners. Most notably, Carlos Santana busted the game wide-open with a three-run shot in the bottom of the fifth inning, giving Seattle a 6-0 lead. Clevinger has now produced three consecutive disappointing starts, giving up 15 runs over 13.1 innings while allowing six homers over that span. The difficult stretch has raised his ERA from 3.59 to 4.47 over 98.2 frames in 20 starts this season.
