Secures second win
Pepiot (2-3) earned the win Saturday against the Padres after giving up one run on three hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out three.
Impact
Pepiot delivered a second straight quality start Saturday and broke a streak of three consecutive outings with multiple homers allowed. He needed just 75 pitches to record 18 outs, but manager Kevin Cash elected to go to the bullpen after San Diego broke the shutout bid with a run on two hits in the sixth inning. Pepiot will carry a 4.24 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 34:12 K:BB over 34 innings into his next turn through the rotation, which lines up for next weekend on the road against the Yankees.

Quality start versus Yankees
Pepiot (1-3) was tagged with a loss after he pitched six innings, giving up three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out seven batters in Sunday's 4-0 defeat to the Yankees...
Impact
Pepiot bounced back well after surrendering six runs over six innings in his last start Tuesday against the Red Sox. One of the right-hander's greatest problems this season has been the long ball and he surrendered two more Sunday. Trent Grisham launched a solo shot in the first inning before Cody Bellinger went deep with a solo homer of his own in the top of the sixth. Pepiot has now given up eight home runs over his first five starts of the season. He'll carry a 4.82 ERA and 1.50 WHIP into his next projected start Saturday in San Diego.

Peppered for six runs
Pepiot (1-2) took the loss against the Red Sox on Tuesday, allowing six runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out eight in six innings.
Impact
Pepiot was able to register eight punchouts for the second time this season, thanks in large part to the 17 whiffs he generated in 102 pitches (of which 70 were strikes). However, he still had issues with his command and gave up a season-high nine hits, and two of the six runs he yielded came on solo homers from Jarren Duran and Alex Bregman in the second and third innings, respectively. Pepiot has started the season with a 4.91 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 24:9 K:BB across 22 innings. He'll look to get back into the win column in his next start, tentatively slated for this weekend at home against Aaron Judge and the Yankees.

Grabs first win of 2025
Pepiot (1-1) earned the win against the Angels on Wednesday. He gave up three runs on six hits and three walks while striking out five across five innings.
Impact
All three of the runs Pepiot gave up came on solo home runs, but he got enough help from the Rays' offense (mostly from Jose Caballero's grand slam in the first inning) to earn his first win of the 2025 season. Pepiot generated 16 first-pitch strikes and 15 whiffs in 91 pitches, and through three starts he's posted a 3.38 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 16:7 K:BB across 16 innings. He'll look to make it two wins in a row in his next start, which is tentatively slated for next week at home against Boston.

Stuck with loss Wednesday
Pepiot (0-1) took the loss Wednesday as the Rays were downed 4-2 by the Pirates, giving up two runs on five hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out three.
Impact
A Ke'Bryan Hayes leadoff triple in the second inning and an Oneil Cruz solo shot in the fifth led to the only damage against Pepiot, but the right-hander had no margin for error with Paul Skenes on the mound for the Bucs. Pepiot has had a strong beginning to his season, posting a 2.45 ERA and 11:4 K:BB through his first 11 innings, but Tampa Bay has scored just five runs combined in his two starts. The right-hander will look for more support in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Angels.

Strikes out eight in no decision
Pepiot didn't factor into the decision in Friday's Opening Day game versus the Rockies. He allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out eight over six...
Impact
With Shane McClanahan (triceps) on the shelf, it was Pepiot who helped launch a new chapter in Rays' history with their opener at George M. Steinbrenner Field, the Yankees' Spring Training facility, which will be the Rays' home for 2025. Pepiot looked overpowering at times, but was wild in the fourth inning. After hitting Michael Toglia with an errant curveball, the righty threw a wild pitch which advanced Toglia another 90 feet. He would eventually cross home plate on a sacrifice fly by Kyle Farmer. Luckily, Tampa's offense came to life late and kept Pepiot out of the loss column. He is tentatively slated to face the Pirates his next time out.
