Good to go Tuesday Anthony (foot) is starting in left field and batting leadoff for Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday, Tommy Cassell of the Worcester Telegram & Gazette reports.

Impact The 20-year-old exited Friday's contest after fouling a pitch off his foot and didn't play the rest of the weekend, but he's ready for action after Monday's team off day. Anthony was seeing his first outfield action of the season Friday after being limited to serving as the designated hitter due to shoulder inflammation. Despite the injury, he's been crushing the ball early in 2025 with five homers and a 1.039 OPS through 23 games.

Dealing with foot injury Anthony fouled a ball off his foot last Friday and hasn't played since, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Impact Anthony appears to have avoided a worst-case scenario, as X-rays were negative for a break. The 20-year-old prospect is due to return to Triple-A Worcester's lineup this week. The foot injury occurred during his first game back in the outfield, after Anthony was limited to DH duties because of shoulder inflammation. Other than the injuries, Anthony's season has been everything the Red Sox dreamed of. Through 23 games, he's hitting .313 with a 1.039 OPS, five home runs, five doubles, one triple, 14 RBI and 21 RBI. He's hit 32 balls with an exit velocity of 100 mph or greater. Without at obvious path to playing time at the major-league level, Anthony will remain with the WooSox for now.

Back in outfield at Triple-A Anthony returned to playing the outfield at Triple-A Worcester this week after previously being limited to designated hitter duty due to right shoulder soreness.

Impact Anthony started in the DH spot for nine straight games as he dealt with minor soreness in his throwing shoulder, but he played left field in the first games of a doubleheader Wednesday and right field Thursday. The top prospect has slashed .308/.444/.590 with five home runs, two stolen bases and a 21:20 K:BB over 99 plate appearances this season with Worcester. Now that the 20-year-old is back to playing the outfield, it would not be a surprise if he earns a promotion to the major sooner rather than later.

Limited to DH at Triple-A Anthony has been limited to designated hitter duty at Triple-A Worcester of late due to minor right shoulder soreness, Chris Henrique of Beyond the Monster reports.

Impact Anthony has been used exclusively at DH since April 11 and is set to be the DH again during Worcester's day/night doubleheader Thursday. The shoulder issue has not affected Anthony at the plate, as he's gone 7-for-12 with a 1:3 K:BB in three games at DH. It's not clear when Anthony -- who is slashing .283/.441/.500 with two homers overall this season -- might be ready to play the outfield again.
