Impact A 6-foot-1, 195-pound shortstop, Emerson has quickly established himself as one of the top prospects in the Mariners farm system and one of the top infielders in the lower rungs of the minors since Seattle selected him with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft. The 19-year-old pushed his way to Everett after slashing .293/.440/.427 with two home runs, six stolen bases and an 18.9 percent walk rate over his 193 plate appearances with Modesto.
