Impact Kaprielian got through five innings without much trouble and nearly got through the sixth as well before Jorge Polanco took him deep to center field with two outs. The Athletics would fail to score, saddling Kaprielian with the loss, but it was nonetheless an encouraging performance after he stumbled in his first start back from a shoulder injury. He'll look to keep the momentum going next week, when he lines up to face the Tigers in Detroit on Thursday.

Jorge Polanco - Hits game-winning solo shot
Polanco went 3-for-4 with a solo homer in Saturday's 1-0 win over Oakland.
Impact Polanco equalled Oakland's hit total and had more hits than the rest of his teammates combined while providing all of the day's scoring. His homer was a two-out shot off James Kaprielian, chasing him from the game. Polanco is now hitting .232/.325/.384 with three homers through 27 games.

Jhoan Duran - Records six-out save
Duran picked up his second save of the season Saturday against the Athletics, striking out five and allowing one walk in two hitless, scoreless innings.
Impact Duran entered the top of the eighth with a one-run lead and promptly struck out the side. He had a bit more of an adventurous ninth inning, walking Seth Brown with two outs before hitting Sean Murphy, but he struck out Christian Bethancourt to secure the save. He now owns a 3.68 ERA and a 42.1 percent strikeout rate through 14.2 innings this season.

Griffin Jax - Earns second win
Jax (2-0) picked up the win Saturday against the Athletics, striking out two while allowing one hit across 1.2 scoreless innings.
Impact Jax entered a scoreless tie with one out in the sixth inning and completed the frame without allowing a baserunner. The Twins went ahead 1-0 in the bottom of the inning, and Jax remained on the mound for the seventh, allowing just a two-out double. He now owns a 1.35 ERA in 13.1 innings of relief this season, a far cry form the 6.37 ERA he posted as primarily a starter last year.
