Adam Oller - Confirmed to start Thursday Oller will be the starting pitcher Thursday against the Orioles, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact Oller will get the ball for his first start of the 2023 season. The right-hander was a member of the Oakland rotation for 14 starts in 2023 and struggled to a 6.30 ERA and 1.63 WHIP over 74.1 innings of work. Oller likely won't be able to work deep into the contest, and his lack of success at the highest level makes him a poor option for this or any other start he'll make.

Zack Gelof - Returning from IL Triple-A Las Vegas reinstated Gelof (shoulder) from its 7-day injured list Wednesday.
Impact Gelof missed less than two weeks to begin the Triple-A season while recovering from a left shoulder strain suffered in spring training. One of the Athletics' top position prospects, Gelof should have a good chance at making his MLB debut later in 2023 if he can keep his strikeouts in check at Triple-A. Following a late-season call-up from Double-A Midland, Gelof bashed five home runs in nine games for Las Vegas, but he struck out in 11 of his 38 plate appearances (28.9 percent).

Kyle Bradish - Rehab outing confirmed for Friday Bradish (foot) is set to make a rehab start with Double-A Bowie on Friday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Impact Bradish has had no setbacks since going on the injured list with a bruised right foot after taking a comebacker there in his season debut. Assuming all goes well during his rehab start, Bradish could be an option to pitch during next week's series versus the Nationals -- he is eligible to return April 19.

Domingo Acevedo - Placed on IL with back strain The Athletics placed Acevedo on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a lower back strain, Melissa Lockard of The Athletic reports.
Impact Acevedo will hit the shelf with the Athletics recalling Chad Smith from Triple-A Las Vegas to take his place in the bullpen. The right-hander will be out for at least two weeks while he recovers with a chance to join the Oakland relief corps before the end of April if there are no setbacks.
