Joining big-league club The Red Sox recalled Sogard from Triple-A Worcester on Friday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Impact Sogard will be part of the 26-man roster for the first time since being optioned June 30. He replaces Jhostynxon Garcia. Sogard has slashed .254/.323/.339 in 65 plate appearances with the Red Sox.
