Impact Enright is currently on the 60-day injured list following an offseason diagnosis of Hodgkin lymphoma, but it's looking like he might be an option for the Marlins' bullpen around the time he becomes eligible for activation in late May. The 26-year-old righty posted a 2.88 ERA and 87:14 K:BB over 65.2 innings last season between the Double-A and Triple-A affiliates of the Guardians. Shifts to 60-day IL The Marlins transferred Enright (illness) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Impact Though Enright was able to resume a throwing progression before the end of spring training and should be cleared to face hitters soon, the Marlins won't rush him back into game action at the big-league level after he was diagnosed in December with Hodgkin lymphoma. A Rule 5 pick over the winter, Enright wasn't likely to garner a major role out of the Miami bullpen in 2023 even before his diagnosis, so expect the right-hander to remain on a minor-league rehab assignment for close to the maximum length of 30 days whenever he's deemed ready to pitch in games.

Impact Enright announced last month on his personal Instagram page that he was diagnosed with nodular predominant Stage 2 Hodgkin lymphoma Dec. 23. He's been taking things slowly so far in Marlins camp but has expressed a strong desire to pitch competitively at some point in 2023. The 26-year-old right-hander was selected away from the Guardians in the 2022 Rule 5 Draft back on Dec. 7.

Impact Enright, whom the Marlins selected in the 2022 Rule 5 Draft over the winter, compiled a 2.88 ERA in 65.2 innings between Double-A Akron and Triple-A Columbus while he was a member of the Cleveland organization last season. The 26-year-old right-hander noted in his post that he has completed his first round of treatments for the cancer, but the diagnosis has put him behind the Marlins' other pitchers in his throwing program this spring. According to Christina De Nicola of MLB.com, Enright has "no current physical limitations," and the team is currently ironing out a plan for him to return to the mound.
