Angel Chivilli - Beginning rehab assignment Chivilli (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.

Impact Right shoulder discomfort has kept Chivilli out of action since late April, but after beginning a throwing program in late May, he's already been cleared to begin pitching in minor-league games. He'll presumably make multiple appearances with the RailRiders before returning to the Yankees' bullpen.

Parker Messick - Thumped by Yankees Messick (6-3) took the loss Wednesday as the Guardians fell 8-4 to the Yankees, giving up five runs (four earned) on five hits and three walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out four.

Impact While the 25-year-old southpaw was able to keep the ball in the yard, triples by Jazz Chisholm in the second inning and Trent Grisham in the sixth played big roles in a pair of three-run frames for the visitors. It was the first time since May 3 that Messick has been tagged for more than three runs in a start, but after two stellar months to begin the season, he's kicked off June by going 0-2 in two outings with a 5.56 ERA and 8:4 K:BB in 11.1 innings. He'll look to get back on track in his next start, which lines up to come on the road next week in Milwaukee.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. - Drives in three in Wednesday's win Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a walk, a triple, two runs scored, three RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 8-4 win over the Guardians.

Impact The 28-year-old infielder ripped a two-run triple in the second inning, kicking off a big day for the Yankees' offense despite zero home runs for the team. The three-bagger was Chisholm's 10th extra-base hit in his last 21 games (three doubles, two triples and five homers), a stretch in which he's batting .288 (23-for-80) with six steals, 15 RBI and 17 runs.

Impact The veteran left-hander delivered his third straight quality start on 96 pitches (58 strikes) as he gets rolling following his belated season debut May 10. Over those three outings, Rodon has gone 2-0 with a 2.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 17:8 K:BB in 18 innings.
