Francisco Lindor - Expected back in 2-to-5 days Lindor said Monday that he expects to return to the lineup within the next 2-to-5 days after an MRI on his back revealed no structural damage, SNY.tv reports.
Impact Lindor said a specific timetable will "depend on how my back reacts," but he expects to be back before the end of the regular season. The shortstop had to exit two of the last three games and didn't play at all in the other contest because of a nagging back problem. He is out of the lineup again Monday versus the Nationals, but it sounds like he should return at some point this week. Jose Iglesias is at shortstop for the series opener against the Nationals.

Harrison Bader - Retreats to bench Bader is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.
Impact Even though Starling Marte (forearm) is on the bench for the second day in a row, the Mets won't make room in the outfield for Bader, who had started in center field in each of the previous four contests. Instead, Tyrone Taylor will get the starting nod in center after he went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 2-1 loss to Philadelphia.

Starling Marte - Out Monday with forearm injury Marte (forearm) is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.
Impact He'll be on the bench for a second day in a row while he tends to a forearm injury, which he suffered when he was hit by a pitch in Saturday's game against the Phillies. The Mets are viewing Marte as day-to-day, and the expectation is that he'll avoid a stint on the injured list. Jesse Winker will cover right field in Marte's stead Monday.
